The game doesn't start when I press Enter — what's wrong?
Make sure the game canvas has keyboard focus. Click anywhere inside the game area first, then press Enter. Some browsers also block Web Audio until the first user interaction — clicking to focus will unlock audio at the same time.
Can I play on mobile / touchscreen?
The canvas scales to fit your viewport, but the current build requires a physical keyboard for movement. Touch / swipe controls are on the roadmap for a future update.
Why do the ghosts sometimes walk through walls?
Ghosts use pre-recorded patrol paths rather than real-time pathfinding. Occasionally a path step lands slightly off-grid and the AABB check passes. If you spot a consistent reproducible case, please report it with the level state in a bug report.
Is my hi-score saved between sessions?
Not yet — hi-score is held in JavaScript memory only and resets on page refresh. Persistent storage via localStorage or a backend endpoint is planned for a future release.

The implementation is open for educational use. PAC-MAN is a registered trademark of Bandai Namco — any commercial use of the name or likeness would require their permission. Drop us a message if you're unsure about your use-case.
